Scavenger Hunt - The View From Your Kitchen Window

Welcome to the first scavenger hunt, and to Spring. Today we will feature our views from the kitchen window. Don't forget about next week's entry "In Your Garden Today".
Here we have the chook house, my raised vegie beds and my lovely walnut tree. Beyond the car parking area is my orchard.
Its not too late to join us, just leave your link here with Mr Linky.

  1. Hi Deb, I've always wanted a chook house but with two Jack Russell dogs that's never going to happen and I wouldn't say no to a walnut tree either. Love the idea of raised vegie beds would be doing my knees a great favour if I had them. Cheers

  4. A walnut tree, how lucky! I'd love to know what's growing in your orchard Deb and what is planted at the bottom of the trellis?

  5. Linn: In my orchard I have planted 2 old almonds, 1 old apricot, 1 old greengage, 1 cherry, 1 golden delcious apple, 1 nectarine, 1 peach, 1 plum and a nashi with 2 different varieties on it. I did have a lady in the snow apple but last winter I dug it up and moved it to the shack. On the bottom of the trellis is a mandevilla but sometimes it gets nipped back with the frost. Sharing the same pot is a gerbera. I have a grape vine climbing over a big gazebo in the front yard. Even though our house is only 5 years old the walnut and the old fruit trees have been here for ages (Walnut over 50 years) as there was an old house here when we bought the property and we donated it to the fire brigade for fire practice and they burnt it down for us so we had a clear run to build the new house.
